"More than happy and longer than an hour…"
We can all remember them - the old days of long indulgent business lunches, the afternoon get-togethers and the "quick one" that invariably ends up a very long one. But, either through sheer fortune or happenstance, running into an old face, or stopping by the local for a couple to see what’s happening, usually leads to the all too common thread of "something"…
“Something” that came up and makes you call your partner and profess your undying apologies for not even narrowly missing dinner with the mother-in-law or the universe declaring you unworthy of the last train home or even that coffee meeting that ran until 10pm. Whatever the "something", we all know the inflection point to be the promise of a good time with some bad company.
At Thirteen and Chateau, it’s fair to say we’re fans of such old days, so by way of bringing back the halcyon times of a lost afternoon – we set out to create something that should be enjoyed - but responsibly. From Thursday 2nd July Fierce ‘til Five is our neighbourhood get together for guests, regulars and locals, over drinks and small plates, taking place weekdays 330pm until 5pm. More than happy and longer than an hour… we’re celebrating the sweet art of a lost afternoon. Enjoy sneak peeks at new drinks and dishes, while indulging in some sweet savings on our classic signature dishes – all set to the backdrop of community, connectivity, great music, air con, and more than a hint of gothic drama.
The limited edition and evolving menu boasts Chef’s special Spicy tofu, Tuna tartare or the Signature inside out roll Ocean Crunch – featuring prawn katsu, surimi, avocado with sriracha, sweet soy sauce and topped with crispy onions. While drinks offer a blend of our hits, new to menu and of course the house classics such as Under Pressure made Xanate pear & Cognac liqueur or Bittersweet Symphony made with Martini Riserva Speciale Rubino, Aperol & Watermelon.
And, as with any guilty haunt – the expansive windows feature a rarefied tint that's accompanied by a large scale award winning mural by Damien Frost 'Soho Tableaux' serving as additional privacy. We'll see you soon.
