Founder of the Regent Sounds shop Crispin Weir talks about the history of the legendary former studio used by The Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, The Who and The Kinks to name but a few - alongside it's place within the rich tapestry of Denmark Street.

2pm – Rough Trade present Giacomo Balaes, performing live in the store at No. 24 Denmark Street.
Berkshire based singer-songwriter Giacomo Balaes explores a different mood from his work with the chaotic London experimental outfit, Lighthaus, bringing a new collection of songs with vulnerable lyrical content and passionate delivery, with precise, intricate finger style guitar accompaniment.

2pm – dial8 at Thirteen presents a talk on music and photography called ‘The Art of Making the Moment’ at No. 1-3 Denmark Street
We’ve all witnessed it – the moment a star is born. We’ve seen it live, but we’ve also noticed it through a photographic lens and most importantly a photographic language – that resonates, captures and marks it in history without question. From Freddie Mercury at Wembley to The Rolling Stones’ Beggars Banquet or Yungblud walking across the audience. Join us for a fireside conversation with culture and lifestyle photographer Brennan Bucannan and British photographer, award winning writer and director Mitch Jenkins - as they peel back subculture and the art of making the moment. Moderated by creative director, writer and author of the acclaimed book ‘Nothin’ But A Good Time: The Spectacular Rise and Fall of Glam Metal’ – Justin Quirk.

2pm - Beautifully Romanticised Accidentally Traumatized present blume, British alt-rock with the guardrails destroyed at No. 20 Denmark Street.
Deal strictly in buzzsaw guitars, swampy drums and blown out vocals. It's British alt-rock with the guardrails destroyed, threatening to fall apart at every turn and ultimately colliding with an instinctive melodic sensibility. Early tunes "Falling Down" and "Lift Me Up" are already generating buzz before the band has even hit record, and currently can only be heard in person at limited live appearances

3pm - Moonrays present Listening Room session with Orphy Robinson presenting a classic album with part 2 of Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life" at No. 7 Denmark Street.

3pm – Dawsons present Cam & Friends performing live in the store at No. 23 Denmark Street.
Cameron Walsh is a New Zealand-born slide and session guitarist who gigs weekly alongside his good friend Eric Gray, a West London–born guitarist and singer, in their band, Pocket Prophets. Join them for a set of country-blues-inspired guitar conversation.

3pm - Beautifully Romanticised Accidentally Traumatized present 'Talking Artistry' a music management panel
For more than a century, Denmark Street has been at the heart of London’s music scene. Once known as ‘Tin Pan Alley’, the street has been home to publishers, studios, musicians, managers, and some of the biggest names in British music history. Denmark Street Sessions brings that legacy into the Bratcave (20 Denmark Street), creating a space for the next generation to get an inside look at how the music business really works. With the UK music industry supporting 220,000 jobs and contributing £8 billion to the economy, there’s plenty to learn beyond the stage. The first session brings together Sam Cantlon and Emilia Owczarek from NIEVE ELLA’s management for an open conversation about building a music career, navigating the industry and finding opportunities. You don’t need to work in music to be part of the conversation… come along, ask questions, listen in, or simply find out more about what goes on behind the music.

330pm – Roland presents Henri Herbert playing the bones in the store at No. 10-11 Denmark Street.
Henri Herbert is a piano playing phenomenon, and one of the most sought after boogie woogie pianists in the world. He has played all over the globe, at major festivals, and has collaborated with the likes of Bryan Adams and Depeche Mode. He’s given private concerts for royalty, and we’re thrilled to welcome his extraordinary talent to Roland Store London as part of Denmark Street Sessions.

4pm – Rough Trade present smokeshow in the store at No. 24 Denmark Street.
smokeshow are an Australian/English band. After two members moved to the UK and felt nostalgic for their hometowns, they started writing together to ease their homesickness. They take influence from artists such as Wilco, The Replacements, and MJ Lenderman. Their music has elements of indie rock and Americana.

4pm – Beautifully Romanticised Accidentally Traumatized present The Folly at No. 20  Denmark Street.
The Folly are a London based alt-rock band formed on Denmark Street; bringing a high-energy mix of raw riffs and soaring hooks. For fans of Turnstile, Queens of the Stone Age and Nirvana, their sound balances grit and melody with a fearless live energy.

430pm – Regent Sounds Studio present 8 Before Ava in the store at No. 4  Denmark Street.
8 Before Ava are a hard-edged contemporary blues band from Birmingham, UK. Taking their cue from the classic electric blues bands of the late 60’s and early 70’s, and from the contemporary sounds of modern blues acts like Gary Clarke Jr and Rival Sons, the four-piece band are building a growing following with their incendiary live performances of original material. The band are no strangers to live performance and hard work - all four members have toured globally as professional ballet dancers. Comprised of Miles Gilliver (Guitar, Vocals, Harmonica), Max Maslen (Guitar), Kit Holder (Bass) and Lawrence Massie (Drums), their first songs were written backstage in theatre dressing rooms and went on to form the backbone of their ever-growing live set. 

5pm – Wunjo Guitars present Moondusty performing live in the store at No. 5 Denmark Street.
Led by Daniel Orcese, a SE London-based singer-songwriter blessed with decades-long experience of making magical music.  He’s toured with Pete Doherty, made an album with critically acclaimed Jazz pianist Greg Foat and was for a decade the Landlord of the Glad in Borough. Laurence Saywood, Tom Hinkley, James McArthur, Drew Manley, Tom Burke and Steve Jones are all old friends from their days playing in each others bands at the Gladstone. Their sound is the warm embrace of old friends privileged to be in each other’s company.

5pm - Beautifully Romanticised Accidentally Traumatized present What Are We Now aka WAWN playing alt rock and punk meets folk and nu metal.
What Are We Now A.K.A (WAWN) has members over south, east and north london but they come together in alexandra palace to form their unique blend of styles. Ranging from alternative rock and folk to punk and nu metal their mix really begs the question “what are we now?” With their funky guitars, melodic basslines and aggressive drums they keep it rocking and all they want to do is play, play and play.

530pm - Rough Trade present Eaves Wilder in the store at No. 24 Denmark Street.
Eaves Wilder began songwriting around the age of eight harnessing an early obsession with 60’s Motown records, The Beatles and the left-field pop of Lily Allen. Her inspirations are endless but it was the riot grrl movement that first blew the doors open for her.

6pm – Thirteen LDN proudly present Claudio Traina from Sixty Ink playing the good times and serving a rocknroll musication at No. 1-3 Denmark Street.
London-based DJ, tattoo artist and creative with deep roots in alternative music culture - Claudio is a resident DJ at London’s legendary The Underworld Camden and has built his sound around emo, rock, punk and alternative. Having recently opened for The All-American Rejects on their latest tour and has DJ’d at Slam Dunk Festival, his résumé spans clubs, festivals, tours and events across London and Los Angeles. From The Viper Room to Whisky a Go Go, Hard Rock Cafe and Dirty Mondays LA. Claudio is also the founder of SixtyInk, a music-driven tattoo studio known for collaborations and pop-ups with major names in alternative music, keeping him closely connected to the scene both on and off stage.

6pm - Beautifully Romanticised Accidentally Traumatized presents archangel, a punk emo four piece girl band
archangels is a punk emo 4-piece girl band from North London. They aim to represent women in music whilst tearing down the stage.

6pm – Wunjo Guitars presents Moon Music Orchestra performing live in the store at No. 5 Denmark Street.
After two decades spent spreading their message of heavy weight loving to the outer reaches of the Galaxy - The Holy Moon Music Orchestra have been reincarnated for the next part of their mission. Expect big riffs, stacked harmonies and more fun than is probably legal… The sound of the Travelling Wilbury's free basing with Funkadelic and Sheila E at the Rodeo. You know they are probably bad news but by the end of the set, you’re  probably hanging out by the bins wanting to join the circus.

630pm - Regent Sounds Studio have Elsie Franklin in the store at No. 4 Denmark Street.
Elsie Franklin sings and plays acoustic country-blues, ragtime and jazz on her trusty National steel resonator. She began her career in York, where she played residencies at venues such as The Hi Ho Club Speakeasy and regularly busked in the streets. Now based in London, she is a rising talent on the UK blues scene, playing regularly at noted London venues such as Ain't Nothin' But The Blues Bar in Soho, as well as venues all over the country. Elsie is often praised for her authentic, yet unique take on early blues and jazz, drawing influence from legendary female blues artists such as Memphis Minnie and Bessie Smith.

7pm - Moonrays presents a night across jazz, Latin, & rare groove on vinyl at No. 7 Denmark Street.

9pm – Thirteen LDN presents, reforming for one night only - The Dash at No. 1-3 Denmark Street.
Just feet away from the location of their first ever show, London’s underground indie punk dynamos The Dash are back. The newly reunited band will bring their legendary sweaty, adrenaline fuelled - sometimes unpredictable - and exhilarating sounds back to the place where it all started. Cutting their teeth in the noughties supporting The Libertines at their legendary Rhythm Factory shows, The Dash opened Camden’s Koko and went on to share stages with Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Patti Smith, The Gossip, Editors, Biffy Clyro, LCD Soundsystem, Black Lips, Kitty Daisy & Lewis and Babyshambles.
